Ever since friday, my VL has been running like absolute crap! I shutters and splutters when idling, has lots of backfiring when driving, idles way too low. I decided to adjust the AFM, i believe you turn it anti-clockwise to make it richer. The car already smelt rich when running, but after about 6-10 turns anti-clockwise, it was back to idling right again. I havnt gone for a drive yet, but surely there is something im missing here.

Took your advice, afm was ****ed... Changed to a second hand one i bought yesterday, i needed the piping regardless because mine was shot to ****. Runs great now, except i noticed the AFM replacement has a cap over the screw to adjust the fuel/air mixture that cant be removed....Hmmm? And yes im using K&N pod filter with rammer pvc pipe coming up from under the front bar.
