Was checking out street comm the other day and saw an old commodore with a come racing tunnel ram sitting on top of a holden stroker making big power with carbies and got me wondering has anyone tried this setup with dual 1000cfm throttle bodies or even tried a shauns custom alloy manifold? Im interested as im going away from my twin throttle body manifold to make bigger power with a high rise single plane torque power but ill lose the show look that its had with twin throtts. Im fitting a 252/260 @.59 lift solid roller cam and race heads to my forged 355 aiming for low 11s or high 10s with a manualised auto but would love a tunnel ram hanging out the bonnet for show shaun quoted 4500 just for manifold the come racing sells for 2000 and torque power is only around 1700 by the time i fit quad throttle body money isnt an issue i just want the power and times so want to go in the right direction

I don't know why you can,t run 11,s with twin throttles, STOWLN has run 10.8 with twin throttle 355 and a solid cam. With the cam that you are fitting set your heads up or get some alloy heads for it and you should pull the numbers.
Sweet thanks for that mate have u heard of anyone with efi tunnel rams and there results? Iv got an engine builder telling me that torque power are the best for making the power and times but id rather twins or tunnel

torque power for under 500hp
harrop for 500hp+
tunnel ram setups for big hp 600+
they did afew tests on various sites, same out comes.
or your wasting your money

Thats it i love the look of that
DA HOON thanks for that mate the heads and cam im getting made 530hp on pavteks engine dyno on a bottom end the same as mine but with a single plane manifold and carby. So pretty much a tunnel ram will be too over the top for my setup will it? Ive seen torque power make over 500 but i also saw the dyno of stowln making nearly 300rwkw with a group a manifold and auto so now im completely at a stand still with what direction i should go. I was gonna put nos on it so if i did it would be well over 600hp im guessing thats when id be better off going tunnel ram?

grp a manifold is an awesome bit of gear
they did some flow testing against the tp, harrop and grp a manifolds.
both group a manifolds were pretty much in the middle of the 2 high rise manifolds on the flow bench. depends if your after power or show

Thanks mate really appreciate it i want the power and 1/4 mile times but still would like the show id love to keep the engine bay how it is now i know the manifold has a lot more in it just dont know if itll make the 530hp i want or the 1/4 mile times im chasing. Would the tunnel ram work well on a 530hp motor?
