Hi Guys, Was driving my car normally and all of a sudden from 80kmph it dropped to 10kmph and wouldn't rev over 1200rpm. There was no missing absolutely NOTHING at all wasn't coughing or spitting just lost revs. I had to put my foot all the way down to the pedal to get home on 10kmph 1200rpm and it wouldn't go any faster than that. Got home switched the car off went to turn it back on and it wouldn't idle. I have replaced and/or checked the following: - Got no error codes. - checked Z32 afm voltage while cranking and it was fluctuating between 0.47v to 0.86v which rules out the afm. - changed cas and dizzy. (have not changed dizzy cap) - changed fuel filter (internal pump) and put in new fuel. - checked fuel delivery by taking off fuel rail hose, fuel was nice and stable. - changed spark plugs - checked all sensor connections and seems okay. Have booked the car in tomorrow morning maybe l could possibly get some answers on here before l drop it off, your help would be greatly appreciated. Wat could cause the car to die all of a sudden, there was no bang no ticking noise nothing at all, From no where it JUST lost speed. thanks

Voltage was fluctuating from 0.47 to 0.86 while turning the key over which eliminates the z32 afm. Just checked and it also has spark Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i know your running z32 but sounds common like a typical afm issue

vltrb -0 if you haven't got useful information about this topic stay out of this thread! ---------- Post added 15-11-11 at 21:00 ---------- Might do a compression test and a leak down test b4 l send it off to the mechanics. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Well if it wouldn't go over 10kmph 1200rpm, I'm thinking intank pump. Does it hesitate on low revs. Does it do it all the time or just now & then??

Yeah I had this issue with my patrol, and turned out to be fuel pump, put an external in to help it out and run's fine now.

Intank fuel pump was replaced, when it decided to die there was no hesitation at all just lost power smoothly there was no weird noise absolutely nothing at all. stockowagon: already checked cat/ muffler system. What l have already done: Checked different ecu new spark plugs different dizzy and CAS intank fuel filter intercooler pipes I will do a compression test on Wednesday hopefully it will give me a rough idea.

My other CAS is probably like 3000 k's old but will try another CAS 3rd time lucky maybe. Checked timing its 53 teeth from crank pulley to cam pulley - thats starting to count from 1-53. Some say should count from 0, when counting from 0 its 52 belt teeth from crank to cam pulley. Rotor shaft is facing radiator, so timing can't be out at all. (engine is TDC compression stroke) Spoke to a reputable shop today "Alan from Rajab Racing" said he will have a look (hope l'm in safe hands now)!! touch wood...
