hey guys, i got laid off about a month back as my boss had no work coming in and had to close down. im looking for work up north as a high voltage electrician or as a maintaince or construction electrician. i was wondering if anyone off here would know someone in the trade and just be able to shoot me a company name. any help is really appreciated. zak.

just get on to seek and all the other job websites, also check out companiel like ready workforce and skilled labour hire, they contract to the mining companies and if u have a ticket it will be easy as for you to get a job with them

yea ive been doing that, called up a couple of companies and work recruitment agencies. the more i apply for the better

thats it, just got to keep applying to as many jobs as you can find

20 mins after writing this i landed a job up north, working for caterpillar fixing/rebuilding the wirirng systems for thier haulpaks etc. no interview. pays great! awesome

thanks for the job names mate.. looking to try somthing different than the standard sparky stuff, so this interests me for now. got a couple of mates in that field whos supervisors are clearing 200k plus, which if i could build up too id be pretty damn happy with.

Get your instro mate, opens doors. I work for transfield worley in karratha. Depends what roster you want. But u do need other tickets to get into oil and gas.

I'm a fitter & on 180k/yr.. 2 weeks on 1 off Next year I want to go offshore or overseas on a 3 month on 1 off roster ( 30-40k a month )
