VL Calais 5ltr EFI conversion Register Question

Gday All Whats The Go with The New LAW getting this vl 5ltr Efi Conversion Registered in VIC i have heard its a No go 8( if the car is tagged a 6cyl the car was released with a V8 and nothing structural has changed Let me know if you have registered your ride latley

vic roads are quite fussy these days, if it was a factory 6 and you try registering it as a 8 they will knock you back, some guys i know have got a letter from a registered mechanical workshop saying that the engine is a option that came out in that model and has been fitted in complaince to that model and they have succesfull got it registered, and others i have heard that vic roads have asked them to supply a engneers cert. i suggest get a letter from a mechanical workshop and try your luck at vic roads, i registered my vl 2 years ago at vic roads with a letter from my mates workshop.
