Hey all, Went though a booze bus today in my car and one of the officers came up and asked is this a 250kw Clubsport, I told him yer why is that, his response was even though your on your P2's I dont think your aloud to drive the car, he let me off and just said to look it up on vic roads so I did and it didn't really tell me what I was looking for because I got my P's in April 06 before the new laws came in 07 so am I aloud to drive the Clubsport, or Not because the site only states the laws from 07.

You've never been able to drive a car like that on any P plates in Vic.

Sort of correct Brett, after the rule change in 1996, you are not able to drive a car like that. So never have you been able to drive them since the LS1's came out on Vic p's. (unless you got your p's prior to 1996, and still have them. I know of one guy who actually falls in to this category, lol.)

I believe the old restrictions were 125 kw/tonne. In a 1.6 tonne car that would be 200kw, it's also measured at the engine, not the wheels. So yes the police officer was correct.

There was also a capacity to weight ratio too... it had to comply with that and also the power to weight ratio.
