I'm going to fit a sumped alloy fuel cell in the boot of My VL, is a surge tank still necessary? I already have a surge tank and I plan to use the car for street duties, circuit, strip and skids. If I should still run a surge tank, what type of pump should I use to feed it? Cheers, Locky.

i run a fuel cell that you could call semi sumped, this has two outlets that each feed a carter black, these feed a header tank under the boot floor that feed two 044's. Zero problems for me.

If your using it for track days and u wana come drift with me, leave the surge tank in and use a Holley pump to fill it or Carlec do a low pressure, high flow pump that you could use. If it's just for drag racing leave it out, as long as the pick up from your cell is at the rear.
