Hey guys just wanting to know what the differences are between a 33 and a 34 5speed from rb25det. I have heard there the same but havnt had any luck searching for info. Are they the same physically? Internally? Or completely different? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Both 5 speed. Very similar, but the R33 uses a push type clutch, R34 uses a pull

you can get pull to push conversions tho and it must be the r34 gtr with 6 speed then

As said above, both use the same gearset (RS5R30A), it is just that the R34 is a push type clutch not pull. Conversion kits are available though. One thing to keep in mind when considering the R34 box also is that it will most often be in much better condition being alot newer than an old thrashed out R33 box. Hope this helps. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

The S2 R33 boxes (which are quoted as being stronger) are pull, as opposed to the S1 push type. Try skylines australia forum, theres a few threads on there
