Just finishing off my 304 efi into vl conversion and went to swap in tank fuel pumps over, they look identical in length and width etc but the vr pump won't slide in the last maybe 5-10mm so I can put the half dozen or so bolts in. Apart from that the bolt holes etc line up perfect. Are they incompatible or am I not holding my tongue right?

Just leave the stock one in it works fine.

its made for a different size tank. as above use the stock intank pump
