hey so f/r bearing completely shat itself on the freeway last night, picked up two sets of bearings from repco for $30 to do both sides, noticed i destroyed the disk brake too so going to get new ones all round because a rear one is gauged quite bad too. should i just get stocko replacements or is there a smart cheap upgrade that i don't know of? also why is there a drum brake looking setup inside the rear hub? is that the handbrake?

Yes, handbrake mechanism can be likened to a drum brake setup, and is inside the hat of the rear discs. If you have standard, non-turbo brakes, you could upgrade to the turbo front discs (slightly bigger), with some decent pads and even braided hoses if you want to go for a bit of a firmer pedal.

cheers decided not to go the turbo brakes because trying to keep it cheap as possible but not do anything dodgy because its my daily driver and need it running today and i got a 200sx project to pump money into.. couple dramas... i left the grease cap on the side of mitchell freeway cos I'm useless and the washer got mangled when the bearings fell apart.. so ive tried repco, supercheap and veales with no luck, ampcap and coventrys are closed, going to try holden.. and last resort is wreckers, any other ideas?

What do you mean "turbo brakes"? "Brakes" is a large category, and doesn't refer to a specific part. Yes, you can use NA or turbo rotors with NA or turbo calipers. So @Hecticvl, you are wrong. And what're you asking in your last post? Where to get a bearing cap? Go to a wreckers and get them off any Commodore with a front stub axle.
