girdle plate

any one using the after market main caps + girdle plate ???? wat rwkw pioint would have safe level on the stock girdle thanks gerry

626rwk standard girdle and factory nissan bolts Rips only uses these and reccomends use of these in 4wd gtr's

wow whats that hp at the engine ?????? stock nissan bolts ????? i seen shops sell 12mm jun main studs who build your motor

Power at the wheels Rips built it, Pro built Engines maintain it. Ive just put a set of ARP mainstuds in as I had them from my last engine. Revs to 8500

ummmm might give them email for some prices - pro built engines atm rb26/30 deals full supertech gear i have here 1mm inlet/ 2mm ex 290 dur cams ect just bare r31 rb30 block planning to use L19 heads studs gtr been advice main caps

Dont waste your money on mains cap

The factory cast girdle is fine for probably more HP than you plan to make unless you have something very special planned - 1000HP plus. I would suggest investing in a set of ARP main studs to replace the factory bolts though - simple and very effective.

arent those spool girdles/main caps bolt onto existing factory locations? or do you have to get everything machined to accept them?

tunnel bore the block pretty sure and dilled & tap main studs to 12mm

Boys - i'd listen to Mr. Sammut, he made these power figures waayyyy back before most of us even owned VLs. Experience is very Valuable. Thats my 2c.

yeh i would agree to stick factory girlde plate wit jun racing 12mm main studs shouldnt have any problems Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Theres two types of girdles. Ones full replacement requiring tunnel boring, and the other is just a bolt on brace. from my own experience and all the others that are doing similat things unless ur keen to go 1000+ hp its a waste of money
