not enough VLs live here, there are not really any cruises for em,
There are other cruise clubs for if you want to cruise with P platers with stock primered ecotec VPs, with 5000$ worth of car audio.
well maybe we could organise it, i just wasnt aware of many in the area that were that good tbh, saw an old man in a 5 litre calais the other week with Venetians which looked really nice, as well as a calais with a young guy at the wheel with a big front mount
i never see anything unless im not in my VL :S
last sunday i did spot a S2 asteroid calais with P's on polished calais rims parked in a carpark, was beautiful, then 2mins later i drove past a green berlina with the plates VL86TR or something, on walky rims. Was a real sleeper
There are a few nice VL's still around, but I don't think they get out too much. Think I've seen the yellow one a few times around Wallsend/Maryland area, looks very nice. And there seems to be the odd few that act like d!cks, probably why no cruises have happened for a while. There used to be an annual cruise to the Calais Estate Winery, but that was canned years ago after a few thought it would be cool to do burnouts at the entrance as they were leaving. The organiser was asked to never go back, so that's been ruined.
Things have been pretty quiet for a while, but there are still a few cars getting around. I'm saving for a respray, but still get out every now and then just to keep the thing running.
Xash, i get it back on saturday but then its off too get new gearbox, converter and shifter fitted, then to the trimmer for new headliner and carpet, so its all cut and dressed around the new roll cage etc....
Few weeks i will be on the road!
Shaun
We have a group going in Newcastle, roughly 10 of us that go on cruises around, few vl turbs but mostly n/a p platers, only a few that are out and about on a regular basis but
that photo was taken a while back now, few more have been added now.
