Hi just need need to know roughly what comp this set up would be. N/A bottom end+1.5 shim+0.7 multi gasket+shaved head ( unsure how much but told it will run 10 to 1 on a na motor. Anyone know what comp this would be??

Sorry not sure why you would run a 1.5m shim and a multi layer head gasket these days i wouldnt assume people really need to run a shim anymore with all the different thickness gaskets? Go with something like a 1.9mm cometic headgasket dont quote me but that should bring it somewhere between 8.5.1 ratio and 3mm brings it down to the vlt compression. I wouldnt assume getting the head decked would drop it that much unless it was rather warped, but im no pro. Are you trying to run a hi compression setup? or do you want to drop it for bigger boost.

Yeah i agree. But im buying the head with a new 0.7 gasket already or else i would of got a 1.9 one. so im going to run the gasket with the spacer. Im not trying to run a hi comp set up just trying to lower comp for better reliablity. If i put a micro tech on it aswell i hope it will be ok.

That would end uP been about 7.5.1 comp.... But why do u want to drop the compression rAtio that far? u r wasting hp and response... Just leave it at 9.0.1 and get the microtech in and tuned and all will be sweet...

So 9:1 should be fine with a microtech and a good tune. If that's the case I wont put the shim on!
