Ive recently taken my gearbox out to fit a new clutch, when re installing the sandwich plate and flywheel, I noticed that the sandwich plate was not perfectly straight, and when turning the flywheel it rubs against the flywheel, although there is nothing holding it to the block at this stage. My question is, when the gearbox is installed, and bolted to the motor, will this straighten the sandwich plate? Any help is appreciated

yes it will get sandwiched between the 2 and should be fine

Cheers for that, Im probably over reacting, thinking that its going to hit on the flywheel, but its better to be safe than sorry!

As long as it's located correctly against the block it will be fine (unless you've drastically bent the sandwich plate).

It sits alright on the block, It's only slightly bent, nothing that I would call "Drastic" though
