Ok so you can get away with using the na computer in a convertion as long as you keep the fuel upto it?

If it was for me I'd just get the turbo gear but a mate of mine just got a gq with the rb30 na convert an it was pingin an carry on, so I had a quick look an seen it only had the na injectors an computer, also it was just runnin a intank fuel pump an not an external one to so I said that'll be ya problem mate.. I've heard from him sence an he set the timing back to 10 degrees an put a rising rate reg in an he said it runs perfect now.

apart from the covers and auto and manual differences; timing maps (3TM/A are very agressive off load and very lazy under load due to cam variations and boost) fuel maps (turbos are 10% richer under load but similar when cruizing) knock sensor board (WOFTAM no known knock map memory) deceleration fuel tables (manual and auto 50rpm difference) injector size (259cc vs 200) cranking fuel tables (due to injector size difference) temperature sensor response emulation (3TA/M ecu's have 4min temp sensor emulation) rev limit before fuel cut (3TA/M 6600rpm, 3EA/M 6400rpm) oxygen sensor input temperature (later S2 Ecu's o2 feedback start 20 degrees warmer) minimum injector pulse width (due inj size diff) maximum injector pulse width (due inj size diff) deceleration timing (auto decel abit slower to suit slower engine braking) idle speed (auto's and manuals are about 50 rpm difference from memory) These are the major variations although another 100 or so more are available. hope this helps.

That's awsome mate thanks for the info, I'll pass it onto my mate that should clear his head Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
