Hey guys i've got an annoying problem. The car doesn't missfire or anything but seems to lack power below 3200rpm. Doesn't matter if im boosting or just feathering it to high revs, once it reaches about 3200-3500 rpm it feels like it "opens up" (best way i can desribe it) and makes a lot more power, regardless if being on boost or not. Now, could this be a symptom of the cam timing being a tooth out? Its an rb30et with nistune and wideband sensor. I can't see any indication of the problem in nistune or on the wideband, ignition timing seems ok and so does mixtures. I've tried my best to "tune it out of it" to no avail. I wish I could describe it better. Just imagine you are accelerating (either fast or slow, but not changing gear) as the revs rise it suddenly makes more power at a certain point around 3500rpm and makes great power all the way to redline. There is no real change in mixtures, ive got a wideband gauge in the car and ive been watching it to see whether it changes around this point. I guess my question is if the cam belt was a tooth out, could it cause this?
