after much thought, i'd really like one other car in particular. if the other car sells, i'll take this off the market. 1988 vl calais originally auto/non-turbo converted to rb25 in tasmania, shipped to perth. i am the second owner in perth. it has; rb25det s2 manual gearbox (bought from jpc) xtreme motorsport clutch (~$1200 with less than 1000km) ems stinger nismo 740cc injectors hks gt2835 pro-s hks dump two mufflers (quiet car) hybrid cooler electric solenoid boost controller 3.9 lsd whiteline adjustable panhard bar mp3 player few other minor bits and pieces. overall condition is good, it has some minor imperfections to the body but it is a presentable calais. the car is mechanically sound, it could be daily driven without hassle. It is rolling on pursuities, but comes with a set of 4 hsv gto rims with rubber. The bad; current tune is very rich. the idle occasionally hunts, but it does not stall. just needs the aac valve cleaned out. Its worth noting, that the car is engineered, permitted and registered. in my eyes, this is what ideally justifies the pricetag. chasing $11,000 ono [phone removed] cheers

This is Joels old car, I believe it went through the entire IM250 process... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

yep write up is by the name of joelah501. Im240 is now extinct but i've been pulled over before and had absolutely no worries. joel did a great job getting it legal, this car is practically cop proof. The onlt achilles is the rims.

The 81 in question has a 2j in it.. Caibs' VLCT is fairly stout with the HKS turbo on it - nice wide power band, much fatter power than my RB26!

ah yeh cheers. for what its worth, went 13.1 @ 110mph on 205/65/15's. better rubber/driver will see 12's easily.

OUT2ANIL8: are you retarded ill break it down for you clean calais 3-5k rb25 half cut 2-4k clutch 1200 hks turbo 2k cooler 2k that's roughly 10 - 14k not including injectors ecu or a tune add up to 3k even more for engineering and that's 20k+ for a 12 second daily now get a vl calais 3-5k injected 5ltr box and loom for 1500 and put it in so maybe 7k for a v8 vl that would be slow in comparison and good luck meeting the immisions etc to make it legal. in future if you don't have anything positive to say go blow a goat! awesome vl for the price
