i been doing a bit of research into turbo options for my vlrb25 build. i do alot of research on SAU and have noticed that it has not been mentioned on here about the Kinugawa turbos (kando dynamics) as seen on simons r32 with rb25 here in perth. alot of the guys highly rate them and at $900 for turbo on its own i thought it would be something that should be thrown up on here for interests sake. im considering getting a T67-25G T3 10 cm. simon's r32 has made well over 500hp with this turbo. for more information on the turbos visit the site below. ill post up some dyno threads also of these turbo's on rb25's. not sure what would be the best turbo for a rb30 but im sure there is one. http://www.kamakdynamics.com/ http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/for...ynamics-turbo/ (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/347726-kando-dynamics-turbo/) ---------- Post added 22-09-11 at 15:31 ---------- Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Probably like the rest of the China town turbos. Luck of the draw!

From what I have seen old designs on the blades and so forth but seem to be built ok. Honestly these days Garrett are no star performer when it comes to longevity and Warranty don't seem to mean jack. The most important thing if you buy one, get the oil pressure and flow required info off them. Its the secret to keeping every turbo alive.

my Garrett has just clicked over 75 thousand Kms & hasnt seen less then 15psi (last 4 months on 20)... i have my faith in Garrett still.... i myself wouldnt even considder buying a cheap turbo.... my mate bought a cheapy. 1000kms on the car and it already has too much shaft play for my liking. last thing i want is a compressor wheel going through my motor....

these turbo's are not a china copy cheapy they are made by a reputable japanese company. they are more reputable through the mitsubishi and subaru scene but slowly making there way into the skyline scene. check the thread i have linked on sau there is about 40 odd pages on them with very happy people. look at simons r32 he has had that for about 2 3 years now with no problem running 26psi through it. i wouldnt buy cheap turbo's either but this is not your average 200 dollar turbo. check out kamaks site alot of very interesting info on there. it has even come to plenty of peoples attention at how they hold boost all through to redline with no drops. unlike alot of the garrett turbo dyno graphs i have scene.

simons 32 is awesome, however that is making that power on e85, and blends therein, while yes it is a respectable figure for a cheep turbo it is not a large amout of horsepower for ethanol... there are some other brads like precision or whatever, non china stuff that is ball bearings etc for aroud that price rage. can do quite well.

As suggested, the Kando's seem to be very decent turbo's and are starting to become widely used in the Evo scene. They seem to be a great bang for your buck turbo with no nasty side effects like cheap ebay turbo's etc... I know people who have purchased other items through Kando aside from turbo's and their after sales service seems to be great as well.
