Hey all, my gf's horn on her vt wont work and hasnt worked for a little while, and i havent really had the motivation to do anything about it as it has a airbag in there and hounestly wouldnt know where to start, and to be hounest dont want the bloody thing exploding in my face.... i just wanted sum info on where to start to slowly narrow the problem down, im gonna check the horn fuse, failing that the horn relay then after that im not to sure what to do......i know there is a tutorial on sc.com about changing a vt horn with a vy and i guess the principal is right like taking airtbag fuse and stuff out before taking the cover off has anyone had this issue or has anyone taken a vt horn apart, i mainly wanna see if all the wires are connected etc etc any advice would be greatly appreciated cheers

test the actual horn itself first to see if it works on its own before mucking around with the switch could just be a wire off down at it I doubt it's anything major

Could be the clock spring, my old man had to have his replaced in his VT recently. Horn wasn't working, took it to an auto elec who narrowed it down with the diagnostic tool, TECH II I think it is. That's probably the last resort, hopefully it's just a dodgy horn or wire for you.
