Hi all What size slick are people running on their VL's, where the rear end has not been tubbed, or other components modded? I have had 26s under there, so I'm keeping with that height, though 8.5 seems the smallest you can get with 15s. I've since ordered a pair but they 'look' too big. I was running a pair of treaded McCreary's and I've purchased a pr of MT ET drags.

I had raised springs and ran 28x9s as above 26x10s on standard springs. Just wind out the seatbelt bolt

Would you run faster with a taller slick or a wider slick?

thanks peoples. I was thinking my 8.5s looked too big (the widest part is 9) but if there's 10s being run, then I should be fine Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

This poses a quick question from me, If you have a street car like i do and it has lowered springs in it, i plan on just swapping them out for the frequent drag racing i plan on doing. Is this the norm or is their a better route to take. Thanks in advance.

That's all I do is pull the rears out and swap them over. On that note if anyone's chasing raised springs to suit 28x9s I have a custom set I want to sell. Suit auto better due to the spring rate.

I was running standard springs (swapping to them when I wanted to race). I've now had my rim faces moved to suit the slicks. Yes, changing the tyre diameter will alter your times etc. Bigger tyre takes longer to do one revolution. I've kept the same dia tyre, while changing diff gears to suit the 1/8th.
