I have just been told by my mechanick that i might have an either cracked or worped head, because my radiator is compressing and bubbling over causing my motor to over head, I just want to know if i could bolt a RB25 twin cam head straight onto my VL TURBO STORKER motor, any advice would be great. chears Nathan

lol!
oversize pistons doesn't make a stroker. you might have 3-4 more cubic inches but that change in capacity will be insignificant.

20-09-11, 21:12 GMT+10#16 ive seen people put them on rb30s, i could still get a fair bit of power out of my single cam, i want to run at the least 10 11 sec passes ill settle for 12 thats not bad for a road registed car

20-09-11, 23:45 GMT+10#17 nah man, ive heard if you have a 3.5l stroker you can run a GT55 with no other mods, it spools up quicker cos of the increased capacity. You should be able to run the standard head and full boost by 3500 on that setup

im running a t3 high flow on standard boost only because i havnt set up my auto boost controler yer, it chews vx ss's at the moment, i have a lsd out of a vs 5ltr stato, a r33tt skyline 5spd gear box, 5ltr fule pump rpm heavy race clutch bosh spark plugs with 4 electrodes, raceing dizzy roda button and a bosh coil, and the list goes on, im keen to get it dyno tested soon when its registed

21-09-11, 01:15 GMT+10#20 You're looking at close to $400-500 in head work. They need to weld, clean, machine, pressure test and modify one of the welsh plugs to feed the VCT (R33 head). R32 Head bolts straight on, but once again best to have it machined flat, pressure tested and cleaned.
You then need to add an extra tensioner to the block, replace your timing belt as the RB25 and RB30 belts are too short (we've used one from an Audi).
You then need to run the full RB25 electronics, Change over your dipstick, bottom water feed, etc.
Its no quick bang it on and she'll be right job, but it is a lot more rev happy now.
