Hey guys iv owned my SL for about a year now when i took ownership had a ceased motor so went out and replaced it with Another N/A after a while got bored of it so i went the next step and got a RB30T .. this is the progress pics so far ! day of purchase first proper drive ... :/ So after a while i got bored of the look and got my self set of wheels ( yes i know most peeps dont agree with chromies ) but hey its my car .. and new plates of course i will have to back it up so after driving it around for a while it was time to go TURBO This is the engine that will be going in came off a R31 rebuilt etc etc ... specs later So the day came when a mate of mine decided to do conversion ---------- Post added 19-09-11 at 05:08 ---------- so the fun began with disconnecting everything and getting everything ready to pull out the engine. have to admit it was pretty messy engine bay with wiring everywhere ---------- Post added 19-09-11 at 05:14 ---------- So after getting everything ready it was out ! took a few hours to make sure we were doing the right thing. so after that fun the moment of truth came where it was time to put in the new engine... been dark couldn't and bad lighting took a little extra time .. ---------- Post added 19-09-11 at 05:21 ---------- after a long night woke up early and this is how she looked i was pretty happy with the results so the next step was to tidy up the engine bay and hide wiring so we started again the next weeknd taking out the manifold refitting all new seals in all areas flushing stuff out , putting new hoses , thermostats etc all the bits to make sure it goes good ! We took out the air con , so only thing will be the powersteering at this stage . after we did that i had time to dummy fit some intercooler piping so its still in progress Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
