G'day fellas, My project car is an original VL commodore ex chaser but its now getting a fresh paint job and im also changing it to a calais replica. My question is, How can i mount the lower calais side skirts as ive been told that these are mounted by plastic clips which are held on by rivets on the lower sill panels. Standard VL's obviously dont have these "rivets"? underneath, so is there another way i can mount the skirts. I have the genuine plastic clips for the skirts i thought maybe i can "double-sided tape" them on ??? Any suggestion here?? thanks. Sebdog

I used the genuine calais skirt clips and screwed them on with small screws. 2 screws in each. I had exact measurements of where each clip sat at the time, but I wouldnt think it would be too hard to "dummy fit" the skirt so you can work out the position of each clip.
