Anyone sucessfully mounted transbrake cable inside the steering column?
Perhaps using slip rings or clock springs from a later model car?
Cheers in advance

you could posibly do it using the horn slip ring but i dont know how much current it would handle. Great idea but dude cause im sick of the flexi cord wrappinh round the steering colum

Connect a toggle switch so that your horn button can double as both the horn and transbrake lol. That's what i did but with my linelocker, and it's also impossible to detect
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i dunno about using the horn contacts inside the column! how many VL's ive seen that when you turn left/right the horn makes contact lol. it would be funny to see but not be the driver of a car just taking a turn then transbrakes out of knowhere!

Should always have an arming switch so the button is dead unless needed, to easy to hit the button if you get crossed up all of a sudden.
I haven't paid any attention to insides of a column but is it hollow enough to just run your wiring up the guts and use an inch or two of spiral underneath the horn button to let itself twist? Would hate for the old slip ring to let you down and throw you out of the beams

ive got an after market steering wheel with the horn buttons on the spokes if u get me like an f1 style, ive put a switch in the pannel to switch it between horn and transbrake and when the transbrake is active the brake light on the dash lights up as a warning, the buttons only switch the earth not the active

i'd more smash the horn out of angry, instead smashing my gearbox haha
yeh definantly a lock out switch and the current wouldn't be an issue because you just run it through a relay anyways
