If your rebuilding the engine, you'd be better building it to turbo specs. but im guessing your still on Ps at the moment?

yer im on my ps, was even thinking just a reco'd engine, because i basicly wanted sumthing reliable that will run better than the engine thats in my car now and swap them in a weekend, then rebuild that engine for turbo spec.

the poor man pays twice dude, build it turbo specs. in the mean time leave your engine in the car, find a clean A8 block and start on that. re a quote, it all depends on what you want... i'm just finishing off mine now, in parts, pistons, rods, bearings, blah blah blah i've spent close to 5K. and all my parts have been at trade prices. in machine work another 3K including nitrated crank bore, hone, blah blah... however, i have bought the best parts available and hope to keep this motor for years

Yer true.. Ive seen a few rb30 rebuilds on ebay.. Do u think i would be better going and buying one of those??
Yet on the other hand.. Theres no point going turbo spec till i get off my p's and by then, i could of rebuilt and engine slowly.. Hhmm tuff desicion

Come buy my a8 bro, has a reco'd head, just needs the bearings done on the bottom end. And she's good to go. Let me know, also got a set of forged pistons and rods, which i can sell with it together.

how much would you sell the pistons and stuff for

id never buy a built block unless i saw receipts dude, but thats just me, buying a built motor isnt cheap, and buying one that cr@ps itself is worse!
