Got the car tuned but for some reason my tuner cant get more than 16psi. He checked everything and even put another actuator with the same results. (internal gate). The tuner also took off the actuator hose off to see if it makes more boost but it didn't. We checked all the hoses, re done all the intercooler piping clamps put new silicone hoses and made no difference. He said if we can get to 25psi the car will make crazy power as for every 2psi he was seeing 20rwkw but he can't get more than 16psi boost. The car is also very laggy on take off, he said its due to not getting boost but recommended to get e boost as that will solve all the issues l am having? will it solve the lagginess on take off and get me to 20+ psi? After checking everything l think the turbo could be on the way out? tuner (springy motors) said the turbo is fine although he said its a bit on the worn out side. He also said on high boost the wastegate flap was staying shut which makes me think could the exhaust housing be cracked causing boost leak? thanks for your help. Check if your exhaust is blocked. ie: blocked cat or stuffed muffler. Easy way, just drop the exhaust at the dump pipe and go for a drive and see if you got more boost Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Took the car for a drive without doing anything and it boosted to 23psi when cold, but when it gets to operating temperature boost drops to 17psi and won't get more boost no matter if l dc the actuator hose or not. I have a gktech cooler kit how good are these intercoolers? I am thinking maybe the intercooler is not keeping up once engine is warmed up and thinking of getting a better cooler? Wat do u guys think?

Ok, will try that tomorrow and let u know, it also has a new CAT dunno if dropping the pipes will make a difference as l have no rear muffler just centre muffler.

internal gate? check the wastegate hole for a crack, would be fine at cold then thermal expantion will open it up and let ur boost out aswell as letting out boost down low,

Makes me think now it has to be the turbo rear housing or wastegate housing leaking boost above 20psi. Anyone know how much l would be looking at to get the turbo reconditioned? While I'm doing the turbo l might as well get a foward facing plenum and a better intercooler as l think the gktech intercooler has too much boost drop once the car is warmed up. Probably leaning towards bar and plate cooler from tuff car parts from this website, wat are your thoughts people?
