Hey fellas, Just wanna know if i can fit any Trimatic into my VL 5.0. My mate is selling a reconditioned trimatic from a HQ but the ID plate says LS which is from a 308 VK i believe. Anything that changed in the trimatics between year models like size, length, ratios? Ill also be using a B&M shifter so it shouldnt matter what side the selctor linkage is on??? cheers. sebdog.

First of all is your 308 trimatic or turbo pattern and is the box a V8 trimatic? If the box is from a VK it should fit straight in. I'm not 100% sure but I think all the trimatics are the same except for the selector shaft,it changed from right to left, but if your going B&M shouldn't be a problem. I used a trimatic out of a VH SLE in my Torana a few years ago with no problems...
