Hi guys ive just got a few questions about having a wet single point anti lag nitrous kit installed whilst using a BOV.
My main concern is having any fuel being blown back through the BOV if i come off the throttle harshly because its mounted infront of the T/B were all the fuel and nos mixture gets injected.
The kit is a ZEX anti lag kit it uses a TPS switch aswell as an adjustable pressure switch which allows you to use the nos upto say 3psi then it cuts out.
Is it as simple as just mounting the BOV closer to the intercooler?
If theres any other hints or tips you can think of please let me know.
Cheers pete.

From my limited knowledge I wouldn't have thought any fuel is mixed anywhere near the T/B so I wouldn't assume there would be a problem? I may very well be wrong so don't quote me..

If it is fire you're worried about, nitrous oxide isn't flammable.

Its a single point wet (Fuel+nos) nitrous kit which means there is a jet that is tapped into the intercooler pipe right befor the throttle body were a mixture of fuel and nitrous is injected.
I know that nos isnt flamable but it acts as an oxidizer which makes that aerosoled fuel+nos mixure just an explosion waiting to happen.
The photo shows the injector you can sort of make out were the fuel and were the nos goes in its just a fuzzy picture.
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

can u plumb it straight onto the plenum? That would stop the chance of it coming back out the throttle body to the bov

I think the idea mounting it befor the throttle body is because the air flow is more violent around there allowing it to mix better, plus i think injecting directly in the plenum you run the risk of having the mixture not propperly mix and go down one cylinder....
I think ill just mount the BOV outside of the engine bay.

30-08-11, 16:57 GMT+10#17 yea there is direct port but its not needed for this aplication, the turbo should do the job.
The car wont be a weekend warrior
