im 17 and i got myself a holden vl with the rb30 non turbo and 5 speed manual box the car needs a bit of work i was wondering if anyone had any cheap or free parts as i dont have to much money to spend at the moment and if anyone could give me some tips on what problems vl's have that would be great. At the moment i want to get it registered for my p's then im going to respray it and make it a 10 sec car here is a list of problems: gearbox nosiey steering wheel comes out need steering column roof lining torn badly rear quarter window smashed on left side rear door seats all round rear seat belts door locks boot lock and ignition stuffed old owner lost the keys window mechanism for drivers side door as window slides down if anyone has old parts lying around and could help me out that will be great and if anyone has any tips and advice on how to fix things that will be muchly appreciated

what colour seats are you after? aren't there any in it?

there is but they are torn and i need seats that have no tears or holes to get a rwc

before you spend to much money on it do a check and make sure its not stolen, smashed windows busted locks and no keys, all tell tail signs

i did its not stolen i got it off a mate of a mate he lost the keys so he had to brake the ignition and the locks are solex so i want to put vk locks and im going to put seat covers but the drives seat is stuffed it has the spring coming out of it

i have free vl seats. red series 1 vlc. they are tear free but you will need to replace them in the future to get the car looking good. for some unknown reason the upper piece of 1 seat is beige sl. but otherwise all red s1 calais. steering wheel.... no idea whats going on there mate. get some photos and whatnot in the n/a section and people can give you more help. the steering column is the part in between the steering wheel and the steering rack so there must be a column in the car... get photos so we can see what you mean. gearbox, 1st thing is 1st. get some fresh fluid in it and see what difference that makes. anyway g/l getting it back running

that would be nice mate and the whole shaft come out with the steering wheel
