just ordered some 20's for my vl. previous owner that had it had 20s on it for a while, un sure of width or anything but they obviously fitted and seemed to tuck nicely under guards.. now it has superlow springs with lowered shocks.. not sure what it was lowered with originally, the strut tow has had some "home modifications" done to it so 245 + wont hit when lowered. the 20s im getting are 225/35/20, do u rekon itl hit the guards?? main concern it the front, the rear will have a bit of play.. What are your opinions/feedback

Too big. You need either 225/30R20 or 235/30R20

Chapter one of my novel.... i run 225/30s all round... the best to make 20s fit, almost exactly factory rolling diamter aswell. Over those 5km speedo checks on the highway, mine was 100m out over the whole 5 kays Mine are 45 offset and an 8 inch wide rim. Mine has big camber on the front which seems to help alot with the fronts because it leans it away from the guard giving it heaps of room when turning. If youre stopped and turn the wheel you can hear a slight rubbing which i believe is the tyre on the inner guard, never bother me tbh. Its clear of the strut tower. One the rear, rolled guards both sides with an adjustable panhard rod adjusted right. I got a bright line one and theyre pretty good. I never had to trim seat belt bolts My tyres were $105 each. They grip more on the rear then bob jane 205's. If youve got 20s on your vl chances are youre not gonna be smashing corners after handling, so a relvativly cheap/hard compound tyre has been 100% fine for just cruising with me get 20s... bitches love 20s Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

The pic was with a car load of 4 boys after we just got back from a maccas run so thats giving it a bit of tuck. I actually dont know whats in thefronts, came with the car but i think theyve sagged cause it low as. If you tell me how i can check i will for you. The rear are stock springs with the top 3 coils modified by a makita 4" grinder with ac delco shocks. I had kingys in the back but it wasnt low enough for me and didnt wanna chop my good springs so cut some stockers. I noticed no difference in ride quiality. They dont make springs to for big tuck man, you gotta make your own lol. It looks pretty extreme in the photo, its not that full on in person. All VLs do it when your drop em mate. If i get adjutble strut tops ill pull em back in. Plus it makes life easy with 20s on the front

So ive got me 20's, they ended up coming with 225/35 tyres.. i dont have guards rolled or a panhard rod yet but nothing seems to scrub or hit anything yet except the strut tower. The guy i bought them from said id need to bash the crap out of the bottem of the strut tower to bend it slightly to allow to tyre to just miss it?? Anyone else have this issue?? And also how do i get the centre caps to go on?? Ive tapped the bearing cover down and i have also melted the "structual" part of the centre cap away at the back yet it still wont push in 100%

My fronts have abit of a chamber on them. Only one thing that sucks is it wears on the inside of the tyre. But handles & corners nice.

I didn't wanna start a new thread so thought i'd ask here. Ive got an E46 BMW Coupe on 20x8.5" wheels with 245/35/20 tyres and it scrubs on bumps/potholes in the front (i think its scrubbing on the suspension). The car is standard ride height. Would fitting just 225/35/20 tyres fix my problems? (I think i may need firmer springs, because i think my stock ones are probably too soft and let the car travel too much) any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Also insted of getting you gaurds rolled, would cutting the lip completly off insted of tucking it under be any different?? other than a "home-made" cheaper option?

that bend is keeping the guard rigid, u cut that off you may aswell replace the guard with paper.
