I picked up a vl turbo diff less brakes and backing plate, originally disc brake diff (dude kept the brakes for his 9") I believe i can run all VN gear but have rear a few conflicting opinions. What i can gather; VN calipers are the same and will fit VN backing plate bolts on VN rotors will fit VL disc brake hand brake cable Can i get a definitive answer?

Yes, all correct. The differences are: -VN axle retaining plate (it is upside compared the VL unit) -VN handbrake cable (slightly shorter, from memory) You can convert a VL diff to disc brake using all VN gear.

Yeah, the VN backing plates hand brake cable mounting point is at 180 degrees flipped compared to a VL one. Which leads me to my next question... will vl disc brake hand brake cable be compatible with VN backing plate? thanks man
