After some info on the Different tail shafts for VL series. Im rebuilding the tail shaft out of my VL Calais 6cyl n/a and have found that the CV joint's internal spline is 25 spline. Is this 25 spline tail shaft standard for a n/a? I purchased a "VB-VL 6cyl n/a" CV joint from ebay [See Item] (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380358480742&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649)and was sent out a 24 spline CV joint which does not fit. Is the 25 spline tail shaft standard or is 24?

VB-VL have a smaller CV (I don't know the spline count) VL turbo and VN onwards have a bigger CV VL and VLT have a 'RUJ2030' uni joint and VN onwards have a 'RUJ2038' If you want a strong tailshaft you are better off getting a VN tailshaft which has the bigger CV, bigger uni's and the same Borg Warner diff flange. You will need to buy a new front slip yolk to suit your gearbox and get it shortened.
