hey guys.. afew weeks ago my car started overheating here & there, the 1st time it got really bad was about 2weeks ago while i was driving & it was pritty much bouncing off hot.. but it was really weird like driving on the freeway it would constantly change from 3/4 hot to highest hot, but at idle it eould cool down to almost a quater. so the next day after that we changed the thermostat & it seemed to have solved the problem.. but yesterday i was driving only for about 1Omins & the temp gauge went up to 3/4, mind u it was absolutely freezing outside.. also dunno if this may have anything to do with it, but theres been a kind of water rushing / bubbling noise from behind my cluster, since that started so did the temp problem.. also i can almost constantly smell coolant while driving, although i do have a radiator pipe thats slightly leaking.. WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM ANYONE WHO MAY HAVE AN IDEA ON WHAT THE PROBLEM IS!! thanks in advance - mzzcalais. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

.. well fix the leak first off... when the cars on... is the sucking anything through the hose?

check all your hose`s and also you could have a stuff heater core in your heater box if you can smell coolent in the car or a hose near your fire wall is cracked or so
