Hey everyone, this probably doesn't really need a thread, but if someone wasn't sure how to do this properly, they'll find this when they search for it.
MATERIALS
- Solvent-based liquid, (methylated spirits, nail polish remover, prepsol
- Rag (for big stickers)
- Cotton buds (for small stickers)
- Razor blade
STEP ONE
Completely saturate the sticker with the solvent using a rag or a cotton bud, depending on the size of the sticker. This won't harm your window at all so don't worry about how much you use.
STEP TWO
Let the solvent sit for a minute or two and carefully slide the razor blade under the sticker (the razor blade won't scratch the window, unless you hack at it). If its resistant to come off, use more solvents.
STEP THREE
After the sticker has been removed, there'll probably still be some glue residue left on the glass, just repeat the steps like you did with the sticker and it will come off just as easily.
Hope this helps.

Good write up.
Also, what I learned from this forum was to heat the sticker for a minute, less or more with a hair dryer etc. then just slowly peal.
Clean excess glue with tea tree oil. Works for me all the time.
But cheers for the Tech article Phaked.

Nail polish remover has acetone init, I wouldn't recommend letting it touch the paint of your car.. Graffers put it in their markers to stain painted walls so it's harder buff.

if there is a persistent sticker, at work, we place a rag over the sticker, then we douse the rag with prepsol and let the wet rag sit on there for 2 - 3 minutes, wetting it if it needs it, and then it basically peels off. If not grab a dry rag and rub hard over it, it will come off in little glue like pieces (windows only otherwise you'll scratch your paint)
good write up, simple yet effective!
