Hey Guys I'm Nicko, A mate of mine bought a 87 Turbo Wagon on sat so he could put the engine in his patrol, he had know need for the car so he gave it to me the good lad. Its front has had a bit of a prang but is repairable.
My plans arent too set out at the moment as this may take a bit of time and the fact that im mechanically stupid. So the more suggestions the better!
Plans:
RB25
Front seats of something a bit newer. (back seats in pretty good nick)
Fix the front
Sand back, fix rust, paint etc
Brake upgrade of some sought (will do my research, only just got the thing)
new carpet
glovebox
steering wheel
Mags
And all necessary little bits.
pics:
Will do a bit more reasearch and look over the car and update this asap!
Cheers
Nicko

rb30 will be an easier bolt in than rb25.
seats wise try to get some beige vp/r/s calais statesman seats that match the trim colour.
brake upgrades - vt twin spot / r32 gtr skyline 4 spot / mazda 4 spot
if you are lucky you might find a set of vn group a ss calipers.
as for steering wheels keep an eye on ebay for padded ex hsv rims. mine cost me just over 100$$ a bargain and legal.
anyway thats a good start. lucky to get the car for free. very good pickup!

i have one. sitting in shepparton. got all parts from sump to rocker cover. also have a few other bits like alternator p/s pump and that i ca throw in. its a bit of a trip but cheap. after $100, i'll throw in the bolt ons i have for that. it had just over 160,000 km rebuilt top end and drove well. removed from smashed car.
on another note... more progress pictures!

31-08-11, 22:51 GMT+10#15 nice work on the rubbers. mine is still rolling on god knows what was in there when it was pulled off of the farm on a trailer b/c it wasn't running and hadn't been for years :O
suspension work is addictive. i did brakes and rims and loved it, then got lowered susp all round and loved it more now i'm looking at installing 4 pots, swaybars, strut braces and all new rubbers (waiting for money :/) its good stuff.
if your gmh lenses are still ok attach the gmh glass to the repo units. will look much better to the people looking for a genuine car.
