some people will tell you that you only need a standard bottom end to make 300+ rwkw... are you going oversize with the valves, or are they standard size? $10500 seems a little expensive to me, although if you get all of the above done it should be a very strong motor.

I have a built rb30 with larry perkins racing forged pistons, new stock rods, oring block, was told the block was brand new, been told done 500kms but i would say its more like 4000kms, removed head ect for inspection. over sized valves an head work. I want 3k for it. alot cheaper then what ur looking at!

joe just get rid of the rb30 completely. an rb25 has ample power/response for the street, no point building a 300+ rwkw motor for use in kal, no track etc makes it pointless. just drop the 25 in, bolt on a decent turbo and manifolds, up the boost, get nistune and a tune done in perth and you'll be set. This will cost half what that long motor will and will be fun as hell to drive. Will net you like 300+hp with a decent turbo and some more boost. Mine made 270hp at the rear wheels on 10 psi with a hi-flow and went pretty hard on the street for what it was.

25 + 35r = 400hp that's micks promise you will need bigger injectors manifolds and after market ecu and that's reliable power all day every day !!!

yeh ****ing oath 25 + turbo of your choice/ecu/injectors and you'll be under your 10g budget and going heaps faster so many good turbos to choose from like gt3071/3076/35r/3540 and all with bulk dyno results available on skylines australia! theres a thread on antilag about this bloke called simon's green r32 rb25, who ran an ultra low 11 on et streets using a really simple but well thought out combination- given, that he was running a mix of e85 and bp98, but if i was gonna do another setup i'd copy the **** out of his. something along the lines of china greddy copy manifold, 6boost ex. manifold, kinugawa ebay turbo (t67 sized), external gate, poncams? and supporting mods. but with that said, there certainly is a great number of people about who've bolted good gear onto stock rb30's and run great numbers. set of arp studs and a good head gasket and roll the dice, if its a good tune she'll be right.

Do it Joe, just go the 25 route! So many proven examples out there. The motors are cheap too. Can put it in as is, save some more coin then get the bolt on's done at a later date if you need too. You wont be disappointed! Ring around the import shops in perth, find a motor, get it put on a pallet and sent up here. Freight is cheap too.
