It would probably be a l76.. I would think.
Quite a bit, things like reluctor wheel, throttle body etc.. there is some good threads on other forums covering it. Its z very worthwhile upgrade though.. like getting a stroke :-)

im not sure if it would be a L76 as i im sure they where the first of the 6ltrs still and have the cathedral port 243 heads, and the HSV's have the L76/L98 with the retangle ports...

Nup.. LS2 is 243 casting and HSV, SS's had L76 with rectangle ports.. They where DOD engines without the DOD, then L98's, L77's, L something else.. the holdens have had a fair few variations of the L series motors.

yeah the L92 is the one you are missing, and the 241 is ls1
#5483 casting number or something like that for the L76/92/98

21-07-11, 16:14 GMT+10#10 I'm pretty certain that the VZ SSZ was only released in the LS1 5.7L, holden slapped on all the options to clear out the 5.7's before the 6L was released - so if it's out of a SSZ i'd be making sure it's an LS2

21-07-11, 21:29 GMT+10#14 Bout 200% certain only 5.7L, coz I was spewing I brought mine about 3 or so months before they were released and were selling for the same price as the standard SS $49900 at the time.
