Hey, im new here so forgive me if this has been covered before. I have trawled this website and others on a solution for this issue but cant find anything . In nearly all the cases there is no solution. My problem is that after working tirelessly on my Auto N/A vl to figure out the problem.
I have replaced leads and plugs, replaced CSA, checked the boot for the csa and also checked the afm, replaced the fuel filter, replaced the power transistor, rebuilt and refurbished the ditributer, adjusted the timing to 20", changed fuel pumps, tried removing the transmission computer.
The problem of the car not reving past 2000rpm when in drive, backfiring when the accelerator is stabed, being really slugish and almost loosing all power and missfiring and boging down under load such as hills and inclines all to no success. any suggestions would be great.
Need it fixed soon as its going for a roadworthy.

I remember i had a misfire once & it was power transistor.
Can't you check the AFM?? Whilst the car is idling remove the AFM plug, If you notice a change in RPM or engine characteristics that would mean it's working. Right??

Not always, but if the afm is working you will notice a change in idle if it doesn't turn off
