hey guys, just wanted to know who's done the VE brake upgrade on the front of a VL? I know there's a couple of upgrade kits on ebay to do this. Just wanted to know what issues there may be. The way i undertsand is, the VE rotor/caliper is a different offset, and can cause issues with some rims with regard to clearance. And the VE studs are bigger? I'm running aftermakret VE GTS on the front of mine and want to make sure the VE brakes clear the wheels, in particular the HSV AP calipers which are pretty chunky?
thanks

If you're using VE wheels with VE brakes, you should have zero problems with clearance between brake and wheel, the issues would be with wheel-guard/strut clearance?

Main issue is stud pattern. I imagine a VE brake upgrade requires and aftermarket hub kit...although that is probably designed with pre-VE stud patterns in mind.
You'd need to get some measurements. If you're looking at AP calipers, you can probably do better than factory fitted for that kind of money.

Talk to Matt at Race brakes Sydney. You can get the whole kit from him to upgrade from stock to AP racing. Fronts and rears, but be prepared to upgrade master and booster along with bias adjuster.
