just bought a 10 bolt salisbury thinking it was going to be as simple as changeing the flange over, but thats not the case, is there anyway around this, can i use the rear half of a vk tailshaft?? or do i need to get my vl tailshaft customized...?

Why do you want to put a 10bolt salisbury in? A 28 spline Borgwarner is a much better choice.

It's also possible that none of the suspension lines up properly. Haven't measured it myself; for the reason why see boostdvh.

reversing the most common commie diff swap weired but interesting it all should bolt up except the tail shaft go and find the bw 8.5 vk tail shaft it should bolt up to the flange and just change the yoke half over they came in vk calais but why do the swap ?the diff is wider to start with ?
