Whats the max boost that can be run on a standard turbo computer/injectors before it starts causing dramas? Havn't touched it yet just getting a rough idea! cheers

an a8 or 'a6 with decomp gasket' will start to lean out after 10psi with NA injectors and 12psi with turbo injectors. note: Some engines will not favour more than 10psi without intercooling on pulp. although often seen it screwed up to 14 or 15psi but it's not really making much more power after 12psi If you can't help yourself, intercooling, colder plugs at smaller gaps will reduce the possibility of detonation, you can wind up your base fuel pressure to 40psi without changing the spray pattern or saturating the stock high pressure pump flow. Stock setups really should have 380cc injectors as a minimum as the stock injectors are way past 80% duty cycle after 10psi.

I have a front mount and adjustable rising rate pressure reg to throw in the mix. Its just a daily so i didnt wanna go spending 2g on a aftermarket ecu and another 1000-1500 on a fuel system as i've already got fullscale money pit... i mean project car happening! Not looking for unrealistic power from it, just more fun. Maybe turn the tyres a little harder Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Could be something to do with intake temps rather than very low boost at just 6 psi. If the plug range was too hot to start with, intake charge too hot, too much timing or fuel delivery issue like mismatched injectors, a fuel regulator bleeding off or imminent pump failure, sometimes a poorly designed exhaust or intake, manifold or just simply too much BMEP in the cylinder to begin with (too high compression ratio) etc.
