Why is it that when a car goes missing so often it does not have an alarm or other? This sad case of the walky being stolen should be a boot in the ass to those who have nothing on their cars.I am sorry to say that the way things are today we have to do something to keep our pride and joys. While some of us can pay for the extreme to be done(and some insurance companys demand it)But some times just the little things will help.So fellas/felless's treat this as a wake up call and think about doing something if you have't already.Becouse it seems every week there is something rare or odd being stolen,Remember you have put the time and effort to get your cars to the way they are,Don't let some low life scum bag take it away from you! Enjoy your ride! Cheers Marty Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

agreed Marty. But sometimes nothing stops them, if they want they will go to extremes to get it. that blue meanie VK that went missing just down the road from me in Takanini for example, it was sitting on axle stands, chain over the diff to the floor, aero wheels were up in ceiling.they took the lot without anyone seeing a thing.poor bugger. Ive had 4 cars stolen and broken into, my VK had blown motor and they towed it down the road to get wheels etc. My RX7 didnt have a steering wheel as i was in process of putting momo in, stolen, never seen again.list goes on

I agree if they want it they will take it,But we should not make it a gift.Doing something will aways stop 1 scumbag! If you can stop the spur of the moment thieft,Or joy riders that will stop 80% of car thiefts. Cheers Marty

There are several on the market,Ones that are tracked for you,And ones that you track for your selfs. For a couple hundy there is a unit you can install and run from your cell. And all it costs is your texts.(no other moniting costs)Or you can have a unit that has real time tracking via your computor and you can controll your car with that or your own cell.So for the price of a good alarm you can easily track your own car.Ours is tracked by the same outfit that tracks amourgaurd and the fuel tankers. But that was a requirement for insurance. But my insurance is only 140 odd dollars and 100 dollar excess for 74k value.I pay 21 bucks a month to monitor the car,But that is real time and I can contoll it by phone. Also It has a geo fence around it.So if it is moved(by pushing or being towed)I will be alerted(as well as the police)And the car is dead unless me or the moniting outfit say so.I can also lock and unlock the car. Very well said Marty... Ive had the Wagon 5 months now, and have been going without Insurance or an Alarm of any kind (Insurance company doesnt like a 19yo in a V8) Maybe I should do something about that lol Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Another tip is watch what you put on forums, facebook and the like. We all love sharing our rides but the pics and info you put up can give a whole heap of info like where your car is stored, what type of doors and windows your shed has also the grounds around your house how easy is it to get to your shed will they be seen etc .....

I doubt any company would insure a Walky or Brock without a decent alarm and GPS tracking these days?? Adding to that I don't know why you wouldn't invest a a relatively small amount of money to keep a unique car safe...

Completely agree, mine appeared on serious crash and it gave me the shits. The workshop owner was spewing about it. Nothing was supposed to be shown just their re-inactment bull, but that was such a lie.

And that is why we have to be careful with the spotted thread. But As alex said compaired to a stereo in your car an alarm most times is cheaper,Just a small investment. Cheers Marty

i think i may want to upgrade from a very old alarm its like a brick... but investing in an alarm is defiantly on the to-do list , even if it aint turbo'd , id still hate for some scumbag joy riding in it..... the car would never be the same... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I have all my cars registered at my parents place. That way if they look up my details and find the 'registered' address all they will find is a Nissan Wingroad and a Hilux... LOL

We have all our details restricted,Only the police or others parties as such can do a search,Then they must register so they know who are looking. Cheers Marty
