Hey guys and gals, many thanks for the kind words and congratulations.. Pretty happy to have finally pulled off a 9 second pass. Obviously it always looks easier than it is.. haha.. but so much of the fun I guess comes with trying different things and learing from it in the process.. I only recently got the car teched, as it has been running 10's for like 3 years now, but it just sucks getting kicked out, so I finally decided to get the licence and the tech and then go and have a good crack at a 9. I took it out 2 weeks ago, having not really driven it or changed anything on the car in the last year and it ran 10.07@132 with a 1.46 60ft... which was a new PB and a new PB 60ft also, so I was kinda happy, but also forever wondering what it would take to get a 9 out of the thing.. haha So yeah, got it sussed out the other week and made a few small changes to both the car and my driving.. and it only took 2 passes last night to net the 9. First pass the car ran a 10.006@133.94, and then the second pass it ran 9.966@134.22 The car last night was driven to and from the track. I raced it exactly how it is driven on the street (with the exception of actually having to bolt my harness and taxi bar/intrusion bar in), full weight, full exhaust, my normal road tyres on the front, Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials 255/60/15, E85 and 30psi, all off the footbrake for a 1.44 60ft. The car is still using the same standard n/a bottom end as it has had in it since 2007, standard crank, rods, n/a pistons etc etc.. with the exception of arp rod bolts and arp head studs. Big thanks to Kyle (6 Boost) for all of his help with the car, from fabrication to recommendation and alot of extra support along the way, I'd say he's definitely made life a bit easier for me with trying to achieve a 9 second pass in this car. Thanks mate ! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Congrats to one of the true gentlemen of the car scene, it has been a pleasure to help you my friend As far as the car goes, it would have to come close to being one of the few GENUINE daily driven 9 second streeters in the country, so many people make all these claims when they run a 9, but the reality is they either rarely drive it as its really an out of control streeter, or bullsh it about what they did to achieve it. As Ollie said, this is the same engine he assembled himself 4 years ago, stock crank and rods, NA pistons, stock valves and head with just some quality clearancing and oil system mods, the head has only been off it once when it had stock head bolts and 27psi and stock head bolts lol, and has had the thrashing of a lifetime each year at powercruise on top of its regular street duties, and has never missed a beat. Who would have ever thought back when you started this 10 odd years ago you'd be running a 9 with a stock engine, full (quiet) exhaust, radials and pump E85, sensational It is a credit to your dedication to the car mate and it couldn't have come to a nicer and more deserving person, now enjoy powercruise knowing you don't have to keep it in one piece by the end of it to achieve that 9 Kyle Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Thanks Kyle The funny thing is that I only ever wanted to run a 10 second pass with the car, but when its first ever 10 second pass ended up being a 10.5@125mph, on radials also without even a proper tune in the car, it all seemed so easy... and I guess that's when the plans changed and it seemed like a better idea to try and make a bit more power and run a 9... I'm definitely happy I stuck with it and ran the 9, feels good !! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
