G'day guys, Bit bored tonight so thought i would do a thread on my VLT. I first bought the car when i was 16 (3years ago) from a bloke in phillip island for a measly $1000! Pretty happy when i rang the bloke bout the car when he told me it still had the Turbo diff and the MX7 gearbox, A8 engine was missing though, still thought it was a steal for the price.. After taking the drive up there (4-5hours) i basically **** myself with the condition of the car! There were cement bags in the boot for about 3 years according to the owner, no boot floor as it rusted out, front and rear windows completely rusted out, doors rusted out, no interior besides to Jap Spec race seats and a **** load of other problems.. needless to say i still bought the car lol. That night we dropped the car off at our shop to start "resto" 30 minutes into it taking the interior and carpet apart i managed to find myself a collection syringes, measuring cups and half a pharmacy! the car started off great! After a couple of weekends of working on it my beloved VL decided to stop starting. Things kept getting worse and worse the more i worked on it. After about 2 years of working on it on and off on weekends and a donor VL i bought off a mate we finally got it ready for my 18th brithday! 2 weeks later i blew the N/A engine.. Back in the shop it goes for turbo setup and new motor.. After another year of screwing around with it and being hospitalised for a month after being in a car accident and breaking afew bones we finally got it ready for my 19th birthday! LOL I couldnt have been happier with the end result, Just turned 19 picking her up from the tuners making 270rwkw on 14psi! Unfortunately the standard block only lasted 3months of daily driving. Now its back in the shop getting a proper rebuild. ECU:Microtech LT10s, Crane Ignition Engine Mods:In house head work, Standard manifolds, Custom 3" cooler piping, GT35/40, 875cc injectors, 044, Walbro in tank pump and some other goodies ive forgotten to mention.. Power: 270rwkw @ 14psi Exhaust:Custom 3" stopped at diff with one muffler and a dummy 2"pipe Gearbox:R33 Interior:All new carpets, roof lining and seats. Diff:Standard Turbo Wheels/Tyres: Turbo Hubcaps Future Mods: The new bottom end Not sure how to add more photo's.. Thanks to stef @ 12volt customs and Full Flight engineering

this cars grouse didnt it use to be silver??? seen it parked in west preston/ coburg area.. wont say the st... about a year ago.. last time i seen it was freight drv - deffs not a shy driver Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Thanks guys, nah was never silver lol. Just in the middle of building the new motor and getting it back on the street by the end of the year.
