Hi Guys, been thinking of nistune lately but am stuck as to which AFM to get? I was told Z32 afm, but on ebay they range from $180 - $400? - Are they all the same? There also is a 80mm afm, l'm after something that can handle 300+ atw. A few to choose from: http://shop.ebay.com.au/?_from=R40&_...All-Categories (http://shop.ebay.com.au/?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m570.l1313&_nkw=z32+afm&_sacat=See-All-Categories) thanks

Any Z32 AFM will do. Should have an orange sticker on them - make sure you get the plug with it. I run a Z32 AFM and currently putting out 310 hp at the wheels - Z32 AFM will easily do over 300 kw at the wheels. ---------- Post added 23-06-11 at 12:38 ---------- pic with orange sticker: ---------- Post added 23-06-11 at 12:41 ---------- additional edit - only AFM larger than Z32 AFM is the Q45 AFM. Z32 = 80mm. Q45 = 90mm. Q45's are a bit more expensive again? I think I paid $220 for my Z32 AFM, 2nd hand, came with wiring plug.

thanks bud, where did you get yours from? have you purchased the nistune board? if yes from where? Another question l wanted to ask do you put the afm in the original position or in the intercooler piping? so, l got to make sure it comes with the z32 wiring kit? do they normally? thanks

Yeah - running a NisTune on mine. Looking to get about 400 RWHP from it soon (just gotta buy a bigger turbo.. lol). NisTune was purchased and installed by EFI Performance up here in QLD. Z32 AFM - I got off some guy over on the nissansilvia forums about 2 years ago. He went over to the U.S. and stopped into a wreckers over there and ripped about 10 of them out and bought them back here to sell off.. AFM can go in either standard position - or in the intercooler piping... there's a few threads about the pro/cons of that on here. Mine is between the pod filter and turbo currently - but may move it when I upgrade the turbo.

the plug comes seperately, it's not a wiring kit. Nistune boards can be purchased from nistune.

The VL AFM is a 4 pin plug - the Z32 is a 6 pin plug, so you'll need to cut the VL plug off, and put the Z32 plug on so it connects to the Z32 AFM. I'll look for a wiring diag for you for which wire goes to what pin. ---------- Post added 23-06-11 at 13:10 ---------- See here for wiring: http://paulr33.com/diagrams/airflow-meter-wiring.html

I recall the Q45 being a bit hard to control at idle. Been a while since I looked into Nistune.

rufazz - thats a negative. RB30 AFM plug has 4 pins - Z32 AFM has 6 pins. No way its going to fit.

Actually, RB30 afm is 6 pins... Don't know where you got 4 from
