I've been having a look around on ebay at a few different gasket sets and am wondering which set would be the best choice for a stock boost RB30e+t. 1 - Endurotec @ $165 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HOLDEN-CO...#ht_2968wt_754 (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HOLDEN-COMMODORE-VL-RB30-FULL-GASKET-SET-ENDUROTEC-/180602666214?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a0cc1fce6#ht_2968wt_754) 2 - Payen @ $220 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HOLDEN-CO...#ht_2968wt_754 (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HOLDEN-COMMODORE-VL-RB30-FULL-GASKET-SET-PAYEN-/170594505177?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27b83991d9#ht_2968wt_754) 3 - N POWER(RB30E) @ $159 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HOLDEN-CO...#ht_1565wt_755 (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HOLDEN-COMMODORE-CALAIS-VL-RB30E-PATROL-VRS-GASKET-KIT-/180682238864?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a11802b90#ht_1565wt_755) 4 - N POWER(RB30ET) @ $199 http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....#ht_1564wt_755 (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200461766034&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_1564wt_755) I just want to know which set would be best to use for my high comp turbo setup and if you can think of any full gasket sets that are better for the same price, let me know. I'd hate to know how much a genuine Nissan rb30e gasket set would be... Cheers- Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

By one of these http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/PROSEAL-H...em 20ba563ece (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/PROSEAL-HEAD-GASKET-NISSAN-SKYLINE-RB30ET-VL-TURBO-MLS-/140565167822?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20ba563ece) & this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HOLDEN-CO...d=242629573673 (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HOLDEN-COMMODORE-CALAIS-VL-RB30E-PATROL-VRS-GASKET-KIT-/180682238864?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a11802b90#ht_1565wt_755&clk_rvr_id=242629573673) & you'll be laughing. Would there be anything wrong with getting the second one on your links without getting a multi layer steel gasket as well because I'm only going to be running standard boost and the N POWER one already has the head gasket included or are those head gaskets crap?? ---------- Post added 23-06-11 at 02:37 ---------- From what I've read, the Durapro Head gaskets are decent like the genuine nissan gasket, unlike the Monotorque variety...

Right-o, spoke to the guy selling the N POWER gasket sets and they aren't suitable for performance app. Going to buy this El-Cheapo kit off ebay : http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....T#ht_948wt_809 (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150502196694&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_948wt_809) And get the head gasket and hit it with a hammer, then go to Nissan and get a genuine r31 head gasket and use that with all the other cheap gaskets. Surely the cheap head gasket is the main problem in the kit which is why I want to do it using the cheap kit with good Nissan head gasket. The Whole gasket set, including the Genuine Nissan head gasket comes in under $200 delivered... ---------- Post added 24-06-11 at 13:26 ---------- Also I was thinking about intake temps on a high comp turbo conversion using a turbo crossover pipe as a pose to an intercooler kit(to save cost) Then I found this : http://www.modyourcar.com.au/gizzmo-...ore-rb30-p5382 (http://www.modyourcar.com.au/gizzmo-thermal-gasket--holden-commodore-rb30-p5382) I wonder if they actually work and reduce the detonation that can occur when running slightly higher boost with hot intake air. I was also looking at this the other day. I wonder if there's any hard evidence of it reducing air intake temp. Like dyno runs or something.

ACL do two kits. I always buy the expensive one (comes with a gaphite head gasket) and I've never had any issues.
