Repost from Fassifern Car Club: Quote: The Fassifern Car Club and the Scenic Rim Motor Sport Assoc have been working together to develop a plan for a new motor sport facility. The plan was put to Council last month and they liked the idea. The next step is the State Government. And this is where you all can help. Attached to the bottom of this comment is a link to an E Petition set up by the Government for all of us to sign. It has 4 steps involved and will take about 2 minutes to complete. You can only sign it once of course but the hubby, missus, the kids, granny and grandpa etc can all sign it too. On the first page it asks you if you want to sign the petition, click YES 2nd page has the criteria of eligibility, you must be a QLD resident. 3rd page has a number on it, you MUST write down this number before clicking to go to the next page 4th page is where you enter that number and your details (name, addy, email etc) then click submit. And your signature is entered on the petition. If the go ahead is given, this facility will be built in the Scenic Rim Shire, at this stage it looks like near Beaudesert and will contain a burnout pad, drag strip, those racing boats that go in a couple of foot of water, a sporting field amongst other sport facilities. It's up to us now to get behind this petition and let the Government know that we take our sport seriously and really want this facility built.
