have a vl turbo, motor is stock, 2500 stall and quick shifted with standard 29 spline turbo dif (single spinner). obviously it spins in the wet but had it out for a drive today, just had it re sprayed.. attempted a "line locker", and failed misarabley! any ideas apart from lack of power why its struggling??

Get a line locker and some 4.11s if you wanna do burnouts. Add diesel squirts and youll spin thirds haha

if you cant do a skid in a vlt - especially with a line locker - there is something wrong!

how does it drive usualy does it struggle of the lights? or rev unusualy high at speed? if the converter is nakered or bands are slopping then you may not be able to overcome the brakes, also by "linelocker" do u mean u were doing a skid or do u actualy have a line locker fitted to the car? also how were you doing the skid? just jaming as hard as possible on both pedals or did you jab the brake to get it going or what?

it has a few issuses with studdering sometimes but ive never driven a car with a 2500 stall before. and off the lights it takes off like any turbo car, builds up the revs as the turbo spools up, it also revs at about 3000rpm at 100kph? which im unsure if its normal with a stall?? and as in i was trying to do a standing skid, i jammed brakes on and put foot down and then was on n off the brakes, simply like rocking the car and still nothing. i could hear the engine building up revs and turbo spooling but everytime i let off brakes the car would just take off and when i put brakes back on quickly it would be back to just reving??

What tyres are you running?? & your bands might need adjusting in the auto transmission.
