So what head gaskets are you running and at what point does the standard head gasket create major issues, also is there any advanage in fitting oversize head bolts for a NA turboed motor runnin around 12-14 psi? i ask because my RB30E+T has decided to leak compression on 1 cylinder into the water jacket and split my radiator.

if your running a hi comp set up with 12-14 psi through it you should be running a cometic head gasket, around $350 but is a multilayer steel gasket and will lasy and save you alot of money in the long run,and you will also get sick of ripping the head off every couple of months.so its a goon investment.na you wont need "oversized" head bolts, your head shouldnt be lifting at 12-14 psi and if you want "bigger"and "better" head bolts, get a set of ARP head bolts ,also aroung a couple of hundred, you can get the cometic head gasket from sta parts and same as the arp bolts

lol yea man i would recomend that you do if you want to do it properly, otherwise chances are that it could blow agian,i know i dont have to tell you this because you are a mechanic but that will be the reason you headgasket has blowen, head may be warped,rb30s are knowen for it,someone could of got it hot before you.but take the head off and put a ruler on it and see if its warped and go from there.having a 200+ kw isnt as easy as it sounds.but should be doable for under $2000

No need for head studs.. probably no need for a mls gasket either.. fix the problem why it blew not just mask it... cars have run plenty more boost than that with a GOOD tune..
Make sure the deck is flat, and get the head faced and checked for any cracks... if you do go an mls gasket you dont need to deck the block you just have to be certain its flat and spotless..
