gm enthusiests club.....stuff like that. 4 n rotas not really the same scene, nor do you want it to be. Theres a few "enthusiests" there you dont want involved with commodores......for market value purposes.

Keep an eye out in petrolhead mag that has most meets in it or it's pretty much the same ones every year Kumeu,Powercruise,Beach hop,GM show,Brock cruise,Cambridge hotrod show etc.... But the VL commy can be frowned upon as it still has the "Boy racer" image stuck with it and not considered old school enough for some of the hotrod shows so you will get abit of stick

Cheers Marty ps my 2 cents worth! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

you have a v8 so you will be welcome at most meets soon as you have a cooler hanging down the boy racer tag comes out ! I turned up at Kumeu and the woman on the gate pretty much told me to piss off as soon as she saw the front of my wag haha

Thanks guys, yea, i had a 308 brock replica vk , with corvette wheels and all the oldskl charm, but still felt a bit out of place at some hotrod shows in hams... My latest, vl is to most people a vl group a brock... but i wanted to get crazy horse power on a budget that wouldnt buy much @ your local fish n chip shop ha How much would it cost to get 220 kw out of a 308? more than a grand? ...exactly thats why i am a rb fan LETS GOOOO ---------- Post added 21-05-11 at 13:20 ---------- Oh, And im gonna have to get some security for crowd control , when i roll up in the vl with my pants dwn low and my basketball cap sideways ha Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

more than you would want to spend on a 308. Injected, charged and cammed would still not see that.

You dont have much faith in the dirty old 308 do you lol they are a bit more responsive than that if you "play" with them properly Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Yeah the old Holden V8 takes a few $$ to make power. Worth it in the end though... ...maybe LSx engines are where it's at now for easy cheap(ish) power

Agreed alex. My wallets hurt from an almost 5 figure engine. If i did it again, i'd go 1uzfe turbo. Soo versatile. But i like punishment and bits specific to the holden engine. So i went the hard way. The injected heads helped, but dont squander on the internals. Splay your caps, i learnt the hard way
